Trello, neat organising tool

Apologies for the light blogging this week, I’ve been doing a lot of travelling about.

Trello

Still, I came across Trello yesterday, a cool and lightweight planning tool. It allows you to create lists of actions, which can be filled in with all sorts of information, and dragged and dropped into different orders.

Here’s a video explaining it further:

Well worth a play for simple collaboration and project management.

If you’d like a tool for managing your time and projects, you can use this web-application inspired by David Allen’s GTD:

You can use it to manage and prioritize your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
Syncs with Evernote and Google Calendar, and also comes with mobile version, and Android and iPhone apps.

Well, from another Dan, thanks for talking about Trello. We’re glad you like it! I won’t promote my side business in gold bullion. :)

  3. Looks nifty! I’m going to trial it with my t0-do lists for a bit, see whether I like it. Viewing it on my phone, it degrades to a nice little lightweight app which seems pretty swift over 3G; could be a winner!

  4. Nice spot Dave – looks useful. Particularly kanban or agile stuff. Will trial it out on a couple of projects and let you know how it goes.

I’ve been using Trello for over a month now and think its awesome. I’ve written a post on my blog listing the six reasons why I like Trello.
    Thanks for the post Dave.
    Keep up the good work
