Open Source Schools

Open Source Schools is a site that launched sometime last summer, I think, but has now had quite a bit of a makeover.

It’s chock full of great advice and resources on how schools can make use of open source software – and there is plenty in there that other organisations or individuals could pick up on too.

Thanks. I’ve bookmarked and shared it.

  2. What a brilliant resource. Having spoken to a family friend who deals with IT procurement and management for the school she works at I know that it can be a pain to secure the right kind of funding. Smaller schools would most certainly benefit from using open source solutions, however I guess the one point to note would be whether teachers would want pupils to work in an environment as close to that available to their home environment as possible…
